The West Tower, which I climbed
We have been perpetual nomads as RVers, sailors, house and pet sitters, and overlanders since 2003. Currently, the three of us are roaming about South America in our truck camper Thirsty Bella.
As lifetime adventurers, we are self-employed and maintain a tight budget. This blog is about all that – and more – to inspire a life less ordinary. Don’t dream but do! 🙂

WOW! Did Mark climb it too or just you? I have climbed a fire tower, but it wasn’t that tall!

Nope, he didn’t. How did you guess? Mark is afraid of heights.
This tower was extremely high. The gate was open, but as I climbed the many rickety stairs, I wondered whether the semi-permanent (homeless) campers here pried the lock open. The tower shook as I climbed it and some of the railing and nails of the stairs were missing. When I descended again and left, I inspected the entrance and saw a sign that the tower was closed due to necessary repairs. Ha! Life is always an adventure with me. As long as I survive, all is OK. 🙂
