The West Tower, which I climbed
We have been perpetual nomads since 2003 – sailing, camping, RVing, house and pet sitting – and are currently roaming about South America in a truck camper with our rescue dog, Maya. As lifetime adventurers, we are self-employed and maintain a tight budget. This blog is about all that – and more – to inspire a life less ordinary. Don’t dream but do! 🙂

WOW! Did Mark climb it too or just you? I have climbed a fire tower, but it wasn’t that tall!

Nope, he didn’t. How did you guess? Mark is afraid of heights.
This tower was extremely high. The gate was open, but as I climbed the many rickety stairs, I wondered whether the semi-permanent (homeless) campers here pried the lock open. The tower shook as I climbed it and some of the railing and nails of the stairs were missing. When I descended again and left, I inspected the entrance and saw a sign that the tower was closed due to necessary repairs. Ha! Life is always an adventure with me. As long as I survive, all is OK. 🙂
