Fuel prices, so far, have been the highest in Peru and Chile. Enjoy Colombia and Ecuador! There, the bad roads and topes are annoying, but at least the lower fuel price makes up for the crappy fuel economy because of the slow downs.
Peru had both: crappy roads with heaps of speed bumps and expensive fuel. Chile has had the highest price for fuel so far (we managed to get close to local prices in Bolivia, otherwise, that country is pricey as well). We haven’t been to Brazil and Uruguay, which we hear top it all! 🙁
Roaming About – Liesbet Collaert & Mark Kilty & Maya
We have been perpetual nomads as RVers, sailors, house and pet sitters, and overlanders since 2003. Currently, the three of us are roaming about South America in our truck camper Bella.
As lifetime adventurers, we are self-employed and maintain a tight budget. This blog is about all that – and more – to inspire a life less ordinary. Don’t dream but do! 🙂
